DCCA to enhance the data analytics and cyber security capabilities of the Automated Plan Payment System

ELLICOTT CITY, MD – June 27, 2016 – Data Computer Corporation of America (DCCA), a veteran-owned information technology services company, announced today that it has been awarded a five-year contract by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The core of the contract is geared towards the expansion and enhancement of CMS's Automated Plan Payment System (APPS) program.

"We are delighted to support CMS in their efforts to provide comprehensive and accurate plan payment reporting and management, as well as to further broaden our contributions to the health IT industry," said David W. Bower, Chief Executive Officer, DCCA. "DCCA, as a company, is committed to solving problems of national interest and takes pride in the solutions and services we provide to help CMS's mission, and the federal government at large."

Under the contract, DCCA will provide business intelligence services that will drive the data analytics needs of the APPS program, to include automated data interface analysis and smart reporting capabilities. The company will enable multiple funding sources for plan payments, journal entry capability, as well as reporting and payment scheduling capabilities through new complex accounting functions. Additionally, the company will maintain and enhance the CMS security posture to meet cyber threats and support the ongoing security risk management program.

"DCCA has a longstanding relationship with CMS, which is validation of our exceptional service delivery," Bower stated. "We hope our ongoing support of CMS will greatly benefit the continuous development of the APPS."
