INFORMATION ENGINEERING
Capabilities DCCA uses a disciplined approach to performing information engineering and developing and documenting enterprise-side information system architecture. DCCA performs the following:
- Visualization, predictive modeling, decision tree analysis, association and link analysis tools application, and expert systems applications.
- Reengineering and redesign and replacement of systems.
- ELINT and SIGINT analysis.
- Business function identification and analysis and flow diagram generation using business process reengineering techniques.
- Statistical analysis, configuration management, report generation, systems fine-tuning, and database applications analysis using SAS.
- User view and data access requirements generation using the Joint Application Development (JAD) process.
- Data analysis, design, and modeling; and data dictionary transforms, and summaries development.
- Metrics development for data flow analysis, and gauging office productivity and baseline establishment for future improvements.
- Statistical analysis using data models and databases.
Project Experience Examples of DCCA Systems Engineering experience include the following:
- Process-driven analysis of activity functions and flows, such as analysis of work/processes for DHHS.
- Web-enabled user interface development using JAD sessions, technical alternatives identification, and effective report generation for CMS.
- Information architecture using statistical and data analysis and data warehousing technology for CMS.
- On-going surveillance procedures of data that identifies significant patterns relating to fraud, waste, and abuse of Medicare funds.
