Capabilities
For more than two decades, DCCA has been providing customers with timely and cost effective software solutions. The DCCA lifecycle development methodology has been independently appraised at a CMMI® Level 3 Maturity.
DCCA capabilities include:
- Full-system lifecycle management.
- Web-based application development featuring Java, J2EE, XML, Cold Fusion, XML, C++, ASP, and .NET.
- Commercial-off-the shelf (COTS), Government-off-the shelf (GOTS), software assessment, requirements analysis, acquisition, and integration.
- Database design, data mining, conversion, evaluation, tuning, and training of scalable database and data warehousing solutions incorporating Oracle, Sybase, DB2, and SQL server.
Project Experience
Examples of DCCA Software Development experience includes the following:
- Data warehousing and data mining applications spanning the health, education, and engineering arenas.
- Analysis, design, and development of an object-oriented application using RUP, the Rational Rose suite of tools, and J2EE.
- Design and development of a secure Web-based application including GUI interfaces, Web portals, help screens, and SQL server backend.
- Programming language feasibility study comparing current programming practices and attributes with potential replacement language attributes. Development of C++ and Java-based prototypes to demonstrate viability, assess functional behavior, and obtain performance measurements.
- Web browser and client server front-ends integrated into legacy systems.
- Development of Web-based solution extracting XML and image files.
- Design and development of both a master DB2 database and transaction-based application with browsing capabilities via Internet Explorer using SQL server.
- Logical and physical design of an Oracle-based solution replacing a legacy mainframe-based database.
